Killer Dreams

Sophie Dunston is a doctor specialising in sleep disorders. She develops a drug to treat them. Only, the drug has a side effect: it makes people susceptible to suggestions from others. Her former employer wants to improve this mind control capability for his own dark purposes, and hence tries to eliminate her. The attempt fails, and she swears to take revenge and destroy the drug. For this, she gets help from two (ex)-killers, who were abused as "lab rats" by her former employer...

The start of Killer Dreams is great and raises expectations that are not fulfilled in the rest. The plot feels too constructed and predictable, and the characters didn't convince me. It's a pity the author didn't make more with the good core idea...
